Yasmine Mahmoudieh

Yasmine Mahmoudieh was born in Hamburg, Germany in 1961. She studied History of art in Italy; of architecture at the Ecole d’Ingenieurs de Genève in Switzerland; Interior design at the College of Notre Dame in San Francisco; and Architecture and interior design at UCLA in Los Angeles where she was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree. She speaks Persian and five European languages.

In 1986 Yasmine founded her own design studio in Los Angeles which now has offices in Berlin, London and Zurich.
Yasmine has a holistic approach to design which has seen her work on an extremely diverse list of projects including hotels, shopping centres, office complexes, exhibitions, restaurants and multi-purpose venues. Projects range from the design of the interior features of the Airbus A380 to The Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. Her work in hotels spans exclusive lifestyle design hotels like the Nevaï in Verbier, which opened in December 2007 – with several Ligne Roset products - to the award winning Hotel Rheinsberg tailored for disabled guests which won the prestigious European Hotel Design Award in the United Kingdom and The International Core Design Award in Stockholm.
